Kaspersky Lab announces the appointment of Amir Kanaan as Managing Director for the META region (Middle East, Turkey and Africa). Amir is stepping up from his previous role of General Manager for the Middle East and will be handed the responsibilities of Maxim Frolov, the company’s previous Managing Director for the META region, who was recently promoted to Vice President of Global Sales at Kaspersky Lab.
In his new role, which is effective as of the 1st of March 2018, Amir will continue to strategically promote the company’s vision of spreading cybersecurity awareness on a national level across the Middle East. Turkey and Africa. He will look to strengthen the company’s leadership in the region, by promoting Kaspersky Lab’s award winning business and consumer products as well as the company’s threat intelligence services.

Earlier this year, Kaspersky Lab announced an 8% YoY revenue growth globally for 2017. The company’s performance was driven by strong results in the regions; in particular, META region has shown a 31% growth in bookings over the last year.
This growth is contributed to the company’s various initiatives that are aimed at promoting cyber safety as well as to its award-winning solutions and services, aimed at helping consumers and all kinds of businesses to stay protected. The company offers Security Intelligence Services to corporate customers, as well as the comprehensive integrated Kaspersky Endpoint Security platform and a range of specialized, targeted solutions. Among its new offerings are Kaspersky Threat Management and Defense – an advanced cybersecurity platform to protect enterprises from complex threats, and Kaspersky Security for Microsoft Office 365 – a solution bringing Next Generation detection technologies for providing enhanced protection for Exchange Online in Microsoft Office 365.
