Zircon.c spreads via e-mail in the form of an e-mail message with the attachment 'patch.exe'. The messages subject field may contain text in Japanese or the word 'Important', while the messages body is blank.
To avoid infection from Zircon.c Kaspersky Lab recommends that users do not launch the attachment 'patch.exe' and immediately delete the e-mail together with its attachment.
