Kaspersky Lab has scored in a Gartner report focused on endpoint protection. The company received the highest product score in one of the three use cases in Gartner’sCritical Capabilities for Endpoint Protection Platforms.

The report evaluated the capabilities of vendors to meet the needs of three distinct types of organization: Type A, those focusing on solutions that are flexible and customizable to meet operational requirements; Type B, those focusing on a blend of prevention and detection and response capabilities in accordance with the skills and experience of their security operations teams, alternatively, evaluating MSS and MDR capabilities to extend their internally available capabilities; and Type C, those emphasizing prevention-focused solutions, evaluating EDR mainly for its forensics capabilities only, and favoring solution providers that also offer MSS and MDR components.

21 vendors were analyzed for the report and given a score within three use cases for the following critical capabilities: prevention, console alerting and reporting, EDR core functionality, EDR advanced response, third-party integration, EPP suite, managed services, geographic support, and OS support.

Kaspersky Lab scored 3.56, 3.76 and 3.86 out of 5 score for the Type A, B, and C use cases respectively – receiving the highest score in the Type C use case.

According to Gartner’s report, “endpoint protection is evolving to address security architecture tasks such as hardening, investigation, incident detection and incident response.” The latest version of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business provides customers with multi-layered protection technologies to defend against different attack vectors. The solution can be fully integrated with Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response, enabling business to conduct investigations and robust remediation. The product also gives organizations enhanced visibility and granular management capabilities to enable them to respond to any cyber challenge that comes their way.
