CEO

Eugene Kaspersky is a world-renowned cybersecurity expert and successful entrepreneur. He is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kaspersky, the world’s largest privately held vendor of cybersecurity solutions.

Eugene began his career in cybersecurity in 1989, with the discovery and successful removal of the ‘Cascade’ virus. His ongoing work developing disinfection modules for malicious programs became the foundation for Kaspersky’s antivirus database. Today, Eugene stands at the forefront of the concept of Cyber Immunity, ensuring that all connected systems are secure by design.

Andrey was appointed Kaspersky’s Chief Operating Officer in January 2012. In his position he is responsible for global administrative functions – finance, HR, IT, and work processes.

Prior to his current role Andrey held a number of senior management positions at Kaspersky. In March 2009 he was appointed Chief Information Officer after five years as the company’s Technical Director. Before that, he was head of the Novell development department from 2002 following a successful period as a project manager.

Andrey has been working in the IT industry since 1989, when he started his career in a research institute of Russian Ministry of Defense, rising to the rank of lieutenant-colonel. Andrey graduated with distinction from a military academy in Kiev.

Andrey Efremov, formerly Chief Technology Officer, is responsible for both technological development and business results of the company.

Andrey joined Kaspersky in 2004 as a system analyst. He has 14 years of experience gained in the company’s research and development department, where he progressed from head of the Development Group to become director of Cloud Infrastructure & Web Development. Before becoming CTO in 2018, Andrey spent eight years focused on cloud-based technologies, and he made a significant contribution to the creation and development of Kaspersky’s vast portfolio of products and services.

In the role of the CTO, Andrey was responsible for the strategic development of Kaspersky’s product portfolio, technological excellence and leadership in the areas of advanced threat detection, protection of cloud environments, and next generation endpoint security. He was also responsible for the transparency of Kaspersky products and technologies and their resilience to supply-chain risks, within the context of Kaspersky’s Global Transparency Initiative.

Andrey has a degree in Automated Information Processing and Control Systems from the Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

Igor joined Kaspersky in the year 1998 to become Chief Legal Officer. In this role Igor is responsible for the legal oversight of all the company's activities. Kaspersky departments such as the Computer Incidents Investigation, Security, and Intellectual Property Control departments operate under his leadership.

Igor graduated from the Institute of Economics and Law in Moscow and has a Ph.D. in Law from the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Before joining Kaspersky Igor held a number of positions with the Ministries of Internal Affairs, Industry, Oil and Energy, and Transport of the Russian Federation.

Marina Alekseeva

Chief Human Resources Officer

Marina Alekseeva has been Chief Human Resources Officer at Kaspersky since 2012. She has been with the company for 15 years, having joined in January 2008 as Deputy HR Director.

Marina received her first degree at the North-West Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, majoring in People Management, and got her second degree in higher education at St. Petersburg State University, specializing in Organizational Psychology. She has more than 20 years of experience in the field of HR, including some in the IT industry.

Before joining Kaspersky, she worked for T-Systems CIS (Deutsche Telekom AG) and UniCredit bank, rising from HR manager to senior managerial positions. At Kaspersky Marina is responsible for the company's HR strategy on a global level, managing the main HR functions: recruitment, compensation, and benefits, HR operations, HR analytics, and employer brand development. The HR Department also includes Kaspersky Academy, which provides training for Kaspersky employees, customers, and partners.

Deputy CEO of Strategy and Economics

Daniil Borschev was appointed Deputy CEO, Strategic Development and Economics in March, 2017. In this role he is responsible for long term economical strategic issues, developing the company’s global economical landscape and Internal audit.

Before that he has been working in the position of Chief Financial Officer at Kaspersky since August 2012, Prior to his current role Daniil held the position of Kaspersky’s Deputy CFO, Director Finance & Administration HQ. Before that, he headed the financial department of Kaspersky for Russia, the CIS countries and the Baltic States.

Prior to joining Kaspersky in 2000, Daniil worked for a number of auditing, investing and banking companies. He graduated from Moscow State University with a degree in economics.

Anton Ivanov

Anton Ivanov heads the company’s research and development department.

Anton joined Kaspersky in 2011 as a malware analyst. For five years, he worked as a senior malware analyst in the company’s Heuristic Detection Group. In 2016, Anton started to lead the Behavioral Detection Team. The team’s main focus was to proactively protect customers from different kinds of malware threats, including ransomware. In 2018, Anton became Head of the Advanced Threats Research and Detection Team, responsible for Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) attacks research and improving the quality of anti-targeted attack detection products. In 2019, he was appointed VP of Threat research responsible for overseeing a number of strategically important tasks at the company, including the promotion and development of Kaspersky’s Threat Research Team and building up company’s technology stack.

Mikhail Gerber joined Kaspersky in 2004 as a trainee test engineer in the quality control department. Throughout his career with the company, he has participated in the development of several B2C and B2B products as a system analyst. He led the system analysis department and, more recently, the R&D Program Management Center. In 2018, he became head of B2C Product Development, and was responsible for the development of all Kaspersky’s B2C products for Windows, Mac, Android and iOS. Mikhail graduated from Moscow Aviation Institute with a degree in Computing Machines, Complexes, Systems and Networks.

As Executive VP, Corporate Business, Kirill Astrakhan leads the development and growth of the company's Corporate sales – setting our direction and priorities, and ensuring successful segment strategies are in place.

Kirill has over 15 years’ experience in IT, helping businesses succeed by inspiring his teams to seize the enormous opportunities available in the cybersecurity market. Prior to joining Kaspersky, Kirill held several senior partner-focused positions at Microsoft, before becoming Head of Channel Sales for Middle East, Turkey & Africa in 2016, where he was responsible for managing and growing the Kaspersky channel and accelerating Enterprise business in over 60 countries across the region.

In his previous role as VP Business Development, he developed and implemented Kaspersky’s segment strategy and was responsible for several business portfolios.
