Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, invites you to visit stand 2.1C45 in pavilion №2 at the world’s biggest mobile technology exhibition, Mobile World Congress 2009, being held from 16-19 February in Barcelona, Spain.

The company will be showcasing its newest products designed to protect end users from a wide range of mobile threats such as malware, spam, the risks linked to the loss or theft of a telephone as well as child access to undesirable content. Dedicated solutions for cell phone operators and vendors will also be on show at the Kaspersky Lab stand and visitors will be able to scan their mobile devices for viruses and sample products capable of providing their smartphones with reliable and effective protection against any IT threat.

The exhibition will also witness the unveiling of Kaspersky Lab’s new product, Kaspersky Mobile Security 8.0, a robust new generation of solution that protects smartphone and communicator users from malware, network attacks and SMS spam, and which also safeguards the data on a smartphone or a communicator if it is lost .

The new version of Kaspersky Mobile Security is unrivalled in terms of cutting-edge technologies, providing an unprecedented level of protection to smartphone users. For instance, SMS Find can locate the exact whereabouts of a lost smartphone (for devices with GPS). After sending an SMS with a password to the lost device, the user receives a link to Google Maps containing its exact coordinates. The SMS Find module can also be used at any time by parents to help locate their child. The Anti-theft module of Kaspersky Mobile Security 8.0 makes it possible for the owner of a lost or stolen smartphone to remotely block access to a device or completely wipe its memory by simply sending a codeword via SMS to his/her number.

On 17 February, Eugene Kaspersky, CEO and co-founder of Kaspersky Lab, will also hold a press conference at the Hotel AC Sants, Passeig de Sant Antoni 36-40, where he will outline his vision of IT threats in the mobile environment over the next ten years. Sergey Nevstruev, Director of the Mobile Solutions Business Unit at Kaspersky Lab, will also be demonstrating the company’s latest products at the press conference and will present plans for the future of Kaspersky Lab’s mobile security solutions.
