Kaspersky Lab has started beta testing Kaspersky® Anti-Virus For Lotus Notes/Domino 4.5 Kaspersky Lab, an international data security software developer, announces the commencement of beta testing for Kaspersky® Anti-Virus For Lotus Notes/Domino 4.5. The company invites all interested parties to take part in beta testing its product developed specifically for Lotus Notes/Domino mail systems and which contains an array of improvements and additions. Kaspersky® Anti-Virus For Lotus Notes/Domino 4.5 is designed to protect mail systems based on Lotus Notes/Domino. The program installs on servers running either Linux or Windows and checks all objects passing through mail and file databases for viruses. Virus scanning is done in both message body text and in file attachments. Additionally, Kaspersky® Anti-Virus For Lotus Notes/Domino 4.5 searches for and neutralizes viruses hiding in embedded archives, compressed EXE (executable) files, and also in email archives and mail database files. At the same time, the software can cure infected message text as well as embedded files. The fully re-worked interface is much more user friendly, making the program significantly more ergonomic. The logical layout of program management features and an advanced Web design that allows users to easily control and monitor their anti-virus defense via the Internet. Among the more substantial changes made to the new version of Kaspersky® Anti-Virus For Lotus Notes/Domino is the implementation of a mail filtering function. This new option makes it possible to block potentially dangerous email attachments according to parameters set by the system administrator. Those using the new version of Kaspersky® Anti-Virus for Lotus Notes/Domino will enjoy the product's new capability that allows them to create and edit messages to technical support without any interruption to program operations.
