Kaspersky Lab announces that it is sponsoring the 2010 RBS Six Nations rugby tournament
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of Internet threat management solutions that protect against all forms of malicious software including viruses, spyware, hackers and spam, announces that it is a sponsor for the 2010 RBS Six Nations Rugby.
Kaspersky Lab has been rated as the second fastest-growing software company after Google, with a 64% higher growth rate than its third-placed rival Nintendo. This latest sponsorship deal is part of an ongoing commitment by the company to strengthen the brand in the UK and Ireland to ultimately become the household name for Internet security software.
Working with the RBS Six Nations is the latest commitment by Kaspersky Lab to support sporting excellence and endeavour. It follows successful sponsorship of the Ashes cricket tournament last year and more recently the Kaspersky Commonwealth Antarctic Expedition, during which eight woman skied from the Antarctic coast, arriving at the geographic south pole on December 29, 2009, where they were met by the CEO and Co-Founder of Kaspersky Lab, Eugene Kaspersky.
Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab UK and Ireland, Malcolm Tuck comments: "As a company, Kaspersky Lab is 100% dedicated to achieving excellence in the field of IT security and we see the same grit and determination to be the very best, mirrored in the sporting world. As such we are delighted to support these prestigious events and wish all of the teams the very best of luck for the competition this year."
