Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions that protect against viruses, spam, Trojans, spyware and hacker attacks, announces the release of the latest version of Kaspersky® Personal Security Suite 1.1. Upgrades to this new version, which already provides comprehensive protection for home users, will enable faster updates to the anti-spam component of Kaspersky Personal Security Suite.

Modifications to the system for updating anti-spam databases are one of the major improvements to Kaspersky Personal Security Suite 1.1. Optimized technologies have been implemented to reduce update size, and the average update is now 300KB. This reduces network traffic and time spent downloading. Additionally, the program package interface has been updated, making it possible to install license keys for each component and links have been added to the interface, which enable the user to exchange a trial key for a full license key when using the online mode.

Kaspersky Personal Security Suite is developed for home PCs running under the Windows operating system. It incorporates cutting edge Kaspersky Lab technologies to ensure reliable, effective protection against the full range of contemporary cyber threats – that is, malicious code, hacker attacks and spam.

The antivirus component of Kaspersky Personal Security Suite protects machines against all types of malicious code. Updates to the antivirus databases are released hourly, making Kaspersky Lab an industry leader, and ensuring that users are protected from even the newest viruses. The firewall component monitors data exchanged between the computer and the Internet, and blocks any unsanctioned attempts to access data. The anti-spam component will keep personal mailboxes free of spam, thanks to the Spamtest linguistic laboratory which issues updates to the anti-spam database round-the-clock.
