Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces that it has formed a strategic partnership with MTN, Africa's leading telecommunications operator, aimed at protecting customers' smartphones from all types of IT threats.
With increased business mobility, through the use of smartphones, laptops, and even USB flash drives, the possibilities for viruses and other malware to spread has grown significantly. To ensure sustainable protection for consumers, MTN has integrated Kaspersky Mobile Security 8.0 into a range of smartphones available in its stores. The solution is unrivalled in terms of cutting-edge technologies, providing total protection against the wide range of threats facing smartphone users globally.
The multi-million rand deal will see all new contract customers with selected Nokia and HTC smartphones receive Kaspersky Mobile Security 8.0, allowing them to safeguard their phones and confidential information from attacks by hackers and mobile worms that spread via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections. The roll-out of the first phase has already commenced and will expand further over the course of the next few months.
