Kaspersky Lab, an international data security software developer, announces the continuation of its prestigious Checkmark certification awarded by West Coast Labs, an independent scientific research center. The Checkmark certificate attests Kaspersky Anti-Virus passed all required tests, measuring its ability to battle malicious programs, with 100% effectiveness.
Kaspersky Lab history with West Coast Labs dates back to 1988. Over this time Kaspersky Anti-Virus has consistently nailed down all certification requirements, and in doing so has proven itself to be a reliable and highly effective solution.
Currently West Coast Labs tests anti-virus products with a three level system - Level 1, Level 2, and Trojan Checkmark. Successful completion of Level 1 confirms a product was able to achieve a 100% score for detecting computer viruses. Level 2 evidences a products ability to eradicate 100% of the viruses thrown at it in testing, while the final level, Trojan Checkmark, verifies the successful detection of each and every Trojan program included in West Coast Labs vast collection. Kaspersky Anti-Virus flawlessly passed all three levels and was awarded the full series of Checkmark certifications.
