Kaspersky Lab Enhances Partner Program for 2010

Improved program follows company philosophy by helping channel partners to protect and grow their business, whilst making it easier

Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of Internet threat management solutions that protect against all forms of malicious software including viruses, spyware, hackers and spam, announces further enhancements to its Green Team Partner Program for 2010. Kaspersky Lab is giving even more rewards to proactive partners who invest in the company and its products, including enhanced deal registration to protect margins, a Pre-sales Academy and access to exclusive Sales and Technical Communities.

Corporate Sales Director Bill Trim explained: "We grew our partner base significantly in 2009 and we believe success is not only about having the very best products, but also the best partners and the best support for them. We have enhanced the deal registration process and our plans for 2010 include a new partner portal and building our partner community to share sales and technical expertise. The Green Team Partner Program has evolved to meet the ongoing needs of partners. The Deal Registration process protects margin in competitive bidding to make it easier for partners to compete on a level playing field. The margins for deal registrations have also increased for 2010. Kaspersky Lab has also enhanced its already comprehensive training program, The Kaspersky Lab Sales Academy, to include pre-sales training. New partners graduate from the half day academy sessions with in-depth knowledge of Kaspersky Lab's award-winning technologies and products. This is complemented by extensive sales training and a detailed introduction by the Kaspersky Lab Global Research and Analysis Team, regarding the shape, size and evolution of the Cybercrime threat.

Key to the partner program is Kaspersky Lab's distribution partners, who play a vital role in facilitating the support and knowledge exchange between partners. The distribution partners also run the Kaspersky Lab Authorised Training Course (ATC), which provides partners with the latest training and information on the company's products and services. A Pre-Sales team gives further support by organising product and service demonstrations including, webinars. Partners will also benefit from an improved extranet portal later this year, giving even closer links and improved communications to aid deal registration and sales.

All partners get sales and marketing support, tech support for products and renewals support. Certified and Enterprise partners also gain membership to the Kaspersky Lab sales and technical community which gives unrivalled access to the latest knowledge and expertise in Kaspersky Lab's products.
