Kaspersky Lab awarded the Otto Wolff von Amerongen prize for medium-sized businesses by the Russo-German Chamber of Foreign Trade

Kaspersky Lab has received the Otto Wolff von Amerongen prize for medium-sized businesses from the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce

Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, has received the Otto Wolff von Amerongen prize for medium-sized businesses from the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce.

This year saw the inauguration of the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce awards ceremony for medium-sized businesses. The award was established in honour of Otto Wolff von Amerongen, President and founder of the German Economic Alliance in the Russian Federation and co-founder of the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce. The prize is awarded to the two medium-sized companies – one from each country – demonstrating the most successful business activity in each other's markets.

The award's patrons are the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Professor Evgeny M. Primakov, and Andrea von Knoop, Honorary President of the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce. The nominees are selected according to the following criteria: the economic and ecological reliability of the company; its contribution to the economic development of medium-sized Russian-German business and Russian-German relations; its ability to create jobs for highly qualified individuals; support for education; the drive to produce innovative and extraordinary solutions; their contribution to the cultural and social aspects of the nation, as well as their willingness to take calculated commercial risks.

The following companies were nominated for the prize: Kaspersky Lab, Dovgan GmbH, Hess Tula, Hochland Russland, Knauf CIS, Rehau, Schattdecor AG and Veka Russ. The prize for the Russian company was awarded to Kaspersky Lab, currently the undisputed leader of the consumer antivirus software market in Germany. The German company Schattdecor received the prize for its reciprocal efforts on the Russian market.

Since that time we have achieved considerable success and our antivirus software products are now the most popular on the German consumer market," said Natalya Kaspersky, Chairperson of the Kaspersky Lab Board of Directors and Board Member of the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce. "Receiving the Otto Wolff von Amerongen prize is the ultimate recognition of our activities in Germany and the contribution that Kaspersky Lab has made to the overall development of Russian-German relations."
