Second win for the company in the “antivirus software—technology/performance” category
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, has won the Best Brand award in the “antivirus software—technology/performance” category for the second time. The German publication, PC Professionell (http://www.pcpro.de), presents the Best Brand awards as part of its IT BrandTrak survey.
From September 2005 to January 2006, 15,000 PC Professionell readers took part in the BrandTrak survey with 2,400 readers evaluating antivirus software products from 18 vendors.
In the “Technology/Performance” category, participants rated the quality of the antivirus products according to the following criteria: frequency of updates, detection rate, stability/accuracy, system requirements, use of system resources and supported operating systems.
Twenty-six per cent of respondents considered stability/accuracy as the most important factor in purchasing an antivirus solution, while 22 per cent chose ease of administration and 16 per cent chose frequency of updates. The Best Brand award for Technology/Performance went to the Kaspersky Lab solution after scoring excellent results across all of these criteria.
Respondents to the survey named Kaspersky Lab as one of the three leading antivirus vendors, whose products received a high satisfaction rating. In particular, the survey showed that the company is a market leader in the following categories:
- frequency of updates
- ease of administration
- evaluation in comparative tests
- experience of working with products from this vendor
- detection rate
- user manual
- company image
- compatibility
- online support
- stability/accuracy
- technical support by telephone
- supported operating systems
