Kaspersky Lab announces that it was awarded 2009 ICT Best Choice by the Institute for Information Industry (III) – No 1 in the corporate user antivirus category in information security sector in Taiwan
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces that it was awarded 2009 ICT Best Choice by the Institute for Information Industry (III) – No 1 in the corporate user antivirus category in information security sector in Taiwan.
As part of III's 13th annual "ICT Best Choice IT Gems Poll", corporate users were asked to complete a questionnaire concerning their views on the various IT vendors. Between Sept and Nov 2009, III targeted the eight major industry sectors of: Manufacturing, Information Services, Insurance & Finance, Telecommunications, Government & Education, Logistics, Trade, and Research & Development in Taiwan.
This year, corporate users voted Kaspersky Lab the number one antivirus solutions provider to industry in the IT security category. Taking the number one slot means that the Company has challenged any preconceptions that the Taiwanese corporate information security market is a closed-shop to outsiders. The Company's innovative Kaspersky Open Space Security has already become the preferred choice of companies purchasing corporate information security solutions in Taiwan.
Receiving the award on behalf of the Company, Managing Director for Kaspersky Lab Asia Pacific, Mr Harry Cheung, said "I am very excited that Kaspersky Lab has been voted the corporate users' No. 1 brand in 2009, given the formidable level of competition that we faced. Kaspersky Lab relentlessly pursues new technologies through investment in R&D, and has released many new technologies ahead of our competitors, setting the standard for the rest of the information security industry to follow. These include solutions targeting Linux, Unix and NetWare. Furthermore, we have consistently updated our antivirus database technology, providing our customers with the most efficient antivirus protection available. I am very pleased that the Company has received the recognition of our Taiwanese corporate customers and grateful for the support that they have shown us. Kaspersky Lab will continue its inspired innovation and research in order to provide the best and most technologically advanced antivirus solutions available in the IT security industry."
Ms. Rosa Shih, General Manager of T-Tech, Kaspersky Lab's corporate products distributor in Taiwan, stated that "Since we became a distributor of corporate products for Kaspersky Lab, besides promoting the latest R2 version, we have proactively trained Kaspersky Lab's professional distribution partners across the country. This means that our corporate customers will be able to receive professional services and information right across the region. For corporate customers who prefer to try-before-they-buy, we have produced CDs specifically designed for sales and marketing purposes. This allows potential clients to quickly and easily try out some of the best information security solutions ever designed for the corporate sector. At the same time, we have conducted free product training courses and rolled out limited-period promotions on ‘Faster, Easier, and more Accurate' quality antivirus solutions, in order to give something back to those Taiwanese corporations whose recognition Kaspersky Lab values highly."
