If anything, winning it this year is even more prestigious as Kaspersky Lab has become the second fastest growing IT company behind no less than Google themselves.”

Ken Ward, Managing Director at Wick Hill commented: “We are delighted that Aidan Simister won the Best Newcomer award – he only recently joined Wick Hill and it shows he has made as big an impression with Kaspersky Lab as he has with us. The Partner Conference also gave valuable insights into the upcoming plans for 2010 and very much made us feel part of the Kaspersky Lab family. We are particularly excited to be taking the new enhancements to Kaspersky® Open Space Security™ Release 2 to market, which gives it an edge on competitors and further strengthens the reach to Enterprise customers.”

Planet IT’s Adrian Sweeney, who was named ‘Sales Person of the year 2009’ in the awards commented, “We have won these awards for a number of years because we pro-actively push Kaspersky Lab products above all other anti-virus vendors. Having researched the market we chose Kaspersky Lab as the most technologically advanced and the best enterprise solution. The relationship that we have with Kaspersky Lab means that we feel very much part of the sales team.”

John Atherton of Enta Group commented on the awards, “Enta's operations reflect values of integrity, competitiveness and commitment and we are delighted to have been awarded this accolade. Working with Kaspersky Lab and its technologically superior products, we have opened up the retail market and really value our partnership.”

Paul Spence of Complete IT Systems, which won the award for ‘Best Marketing Initiative 2009’, commented, “We chose to work with Kaspersky Lab because we aim to offer best of breed technology. In just over 2 years, Complete IT Systems has become a leading provider of IT products, services and solutions across the UK, and the reason for our success has been the quality of the solutions that we select, together with the high levels of service, reliability and sensible business advice that we get from Kaspersky Lab.”

There was also praise for the Partner Conference, as Simon Funge, Account Manager at Infosystems Ltd commented, “Having attended a number of excellent Cisco conferences, I can definitely say Kaspersky Lab has organised one of the best conferences I have been to in the last five years. It combined a good mix of senior management speakers, workshop sessions, technology roadmaps and wide variety of information that is invaluable to partners.”

Malcolm Tuck, Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab UK and Ireland, concluded, “This year’s awards are a celebration of another amazing year for Kaspersky Lab, which saw growth of 80% during the first half of 2009 alone, and we currently have 20% consumer sector market share, up from 5% last year. We have even more aggressive targets in both the consumer and B2B markets next year. We congratulate our partners on their success and look forward to recognising and rewarding their achievements again in 2010.”

Along with the latest version of its flagship Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010, this year has seen Kaspersky Lab launch its first product developed especially for Macs - Kaspersky Antivirus for Mac on October 15, which has been designed to help Kaspersky Lab reach its aim of protecting everyone who uses the Internet.

Kaspersky Lab recently released significant new enhancements to its award-winning Kaspersky Open Space Security with Release 2. The updated product features a quick and simple installation that removes competitor’s software and protects all clients immediately. Release 2 also features very high scanning speeds with a rapid and effective response to threats, low impact on system resources, protection against evolving malware and hacker techniques. It also uses device control to protect business data against loss or theft. A new easy-to-use and fully customisable management console, with full integration with Active Directory, ensures comprehensive real-time and scheduled reporting. Release 2 is backed up by Kaspersky Lab’s UK-based support team.
