Kaspersky Lab releases Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.7 for Linux Workstation and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.7 for Linux File Servers
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, has added administration capabilities to two of its key Linux products, with the release of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.7 for Linux Workstation and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.7 for Linux File Server.
Kaspersky Lab’s Linux products provide antivirus protection to workstations and file servers that run under Linux, effectively detecting and neutralizing malicious code in all file system objects on the workstation / server. The new versions released today include the ability to manage security settings via Kaspersky Administration Kit, a powerful and flexible tool that provides centralized administration of antivirus protection systems on complex networks.
Both Linux products include a user-friendly system of automatic antivirus database updates and a flexible antivirus program configuration mechanism. The kavmonitor (on-access scanner) component integrated into these products provides real-time antivirus protection of file systems and intercepts and blocks all suspicious processes running in the system, minimizing the malicious programs’ chances of doing harm. For more information about Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.7 for Linux Workstation and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.7 for Linux File Server, please visit the relevant product pages at http://www.kaspersky.com/anti-virus_linux_workstation and http://www.kaspersky.com/anti-virus_linux_file_server.
