Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 awarded Certified for Windows Vista Logo
New Kaspersky Lab products, Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0, have both been granted the Certified for Windows Vista logo. The home-user products were certified following successful testing at the Veritest certification lab.
The Certified for Windows Vista logo program confirms that the products tested are not only fully compatible with Windows Vista, but also demonstrate exceptional stability under both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the new operating system.
“Microsoft is pleased that Kaspersky Lab has earned the Certified for Windows Vista software logo for its Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 applications,” said Dave Wascha, director of Windows Client Product Management at Microsoft Corp. “This highlights Kaspersky Lab’s commitment to providing its customers with higher quality applications that deliver a more secure, reliable and compatible experience with Windows Vista.”
In order to be awarded the Certified for Windows Vista logo, a product must meet a number of requirements, such as compliance of the program’s installation and removal procedures with Microsoft standards; compatibility with standard Windows Vista applications; as well as error-free operation and compatibility with the operating system.
“We are pleased that Microsoft experts have confirmed the superior quality and stability of the new generation of Kaspersky Lab products. As the seventh versions of our home users products were developed with the characteristics and new features of Windows Vista in mind, successful completion of the Veritest testing was expected – but nonetheless great news,” said Kaspersky Lab CEO Natalya Kaspersky.
The commercial releases of Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 will be available shortly. All users who have an active license of the 6.0 versions of these products will be entitled to a free upgrade when the version 7 products are released.
