Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 wins APC Editor’s Choice award
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, has won a coveted Editor’s Choice award from APC Magazine – the oldest and most influential IT magazine in Australia – for its Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 product.
APC Magazine conducted comprehensive testing of the most popular Internet security products from the world’s leading vendors. Solutions were evaluated using a range of criteria, including: protection from viruses and other cyberthreats, reliability, resource requirements, and user-interface.
During testing, Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 demonstrated superb protection from malicious programs. The product was also lauded for its “unbelievably low” resource requirements, with the testers noting that Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 “is a nimble but powerful package and is delivered without the fat and unnecessary gimmicks.”
According to the magazine’s reviewers, the Proactive Defense module is “the most interesting element” of the product, analyzing the activity of applications installed in the system and protecting the system from new, unknown malicious programs.
APC experts also commended the product’s functional “bright, cheery interface that gives access to a suite of services”.
Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0’s overall performance ensured it received the accolade of Best Integrated Internet Security Product. “Kaspersky is a force to be reckoned with,” concluded the APC experts.
