Kaspersky® Internet Security 2010 Best Internet Security-class product
Kaspersky Lab announces that Kaspersky® Internet Security 2010 has received the Gold Zero-Day Protection Award from the Anti-Malware Test Lab, a highly reputable web portal dedicated to cyber-security research and testing. The Anti-Malware Test Lab carried out a dynamic test of 20 cyber-security solutions from different vendors, including Norton Internet Security 2009, Trend Micro Internet Security 2009, Microsoft Security Essentials and various others. The tests were conducted between 7 July 2009 and 22 October 2009 on computers running Windows XP SP3 and followed a custom methodology. The study was aimed at testing just how effective popular antivirus products are at protecting the user's computer from the latest malware programs, which are spread via infected websites and can avoid signature-based detection.
Kaspersky® Internet Security 2010 was recognised as the best Internet Security-class product in the test. It managed to neutralise 92% of all the malware used in the test sample.
