Kaspersky empowered Cleopatra Hospitals Group to detect severe cyber incidents 75% faster

August 18, 2026

By deploying Kaspersky Next XDR Expert, the Egypt based healthcare leader reduced investigation time for high severity incidents from eight to just two hours. This enabled CHG to swiftly mitigate threats, limit operational disruption, and keep digital services across hospitals, medical centers, and partner networks secure and trustworthy.

Cleopatra Hospitals Group (CHG) was formed through the consolidation of several leading hospitals, creating the largest private healthcare network in Egypt. Across its hospitals, the organization has automated more than 90% of its workflows and established a centralized digital environment. While this enables a seamless experience for patients, partners, and staff, it also requires a more advanced approach to cybersecurity. To protect this highly connected environment, CHG needed to move beyond traditional antivirus protection and adopt a dedicated cybersecurity solution that provides deeper visibility and a more mature security operations model.

Going beyond a standard deployment

As CHG’s digital infrastructure continued to expand, its existing security controls were no longer sufficient. After evaluating cybersecurity solutions based on product maturity, vendor expertise, ease of implementation, team enablement, and overall cost-effectiveness, CHG selected Kaspersky as the partner best aligned with its long-term cybersecurity strategy.

To strengthen protection against complex threats, Kaspersky specialists, together with CHG’s technology delivery teams and implementation partner, seamlessly integrated Kaspersky Next XDR Expert into the company’s infrastructure and security operations. The solution provides a comprehensive view of the organization’s security through full visibility, correlation, and automation across multiple response tools and data sources, including endpoint, network, and cloud data.

Kaspersky also provided end-to-end support throughout the deployment, ensuring proper log ingestion, optimization across the existing ecosystem, license alignment, and interoperability with other security tools.

A stable basis for confident growth

After strengthening its security operations with Kaspersky Next XDR Expert, CHG has built a more robust foundation for SOC maturity and future security enhancements. The solution gives the team comprehensive visibility into endpoint activity and day‑to‑day operations across the entire infrastructure, improving threat detection and accelerating issue resolution.

As a result, investigation time for high‑severity incidents dropped from up to eight hours to just two hours, allowing a faster response to critical threats and minimizing potential impact. Medium‑severity incidents are now resolved in four hours instead of a full day, and low‑severity incidents are investigated in eight hours rather than two days, an 83 % reduction for both categories.

These gains enable CHG’s security team to assess incidents more quickly, prioritize the most significant risks, and reduce the overall impact on healthcare operations. The improvements support a highly digitized environment that serves more than two million patients annually across large number of medical entities, managing over 3,000 endpoints, more than 500 servers, and automating 90‑95 % of workflows.

“Kaspersky has helped us strengthen visibility across our environment, from endpoint activity and threat correlation to log analysis and zero-day investigation. For a healthcare organization operating at this scale, that visibility is essential to maintaining resilient operations and supporting patient care. The product capabilities, implementation expertise and ongoing support have been critical to the success of the project,” comments Dr. Amr AlAshkar, Chief Information Officer, Cleopatra Hospitals Group.

“Healthcare organizations are undergoing rapid digital transformation, and cybersecurity should evolve alongside their increasingly complex infrastructures. Our collaboration with CHG demonstrates how a mature security operations model, combined with advanced visibility and automation, can help organizations detect and respond to threats faster while supporting their long-term digital goals. At Kaspersky, our mission is to help organizations overcome evolving cybersecurity challenges by delivering solutions that are not only reliable and effective but also easy to adopt,” says Sherif El Khoriby, Head of B2B Sales for Egypt at Kaspersky.
