PC World Brazil named Kaspersky® Anti-Virus Personal Best Buy in the March edition. PC World conducted comparative tests of the most popular antivirus solutions on the local market and Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal won amongst home users.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus came in first, leading over: EZ-Armor Security Suite, McAfee ViruScan Home Edition 8.0, Nod32 Antivirus System 2.0, Norton Antivirus 2004, Panda Titanium 2004, Trend Micro PC-cillin 10, AVG Anti-Virus System, Avast 4 Home Edition, BitDefender Free Edition Version 7 and Stinger.
The antivirus solutions were tested according to a range of criteria including detection rates, speed, usability and price. The viruses used in the test included the notorious Mydoom.a.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal passed the tests with flying colors, winning praise for its consumer-oriented features. As a result, the solution received the Best Buy award in Brazil. The editors of PC World Brazil noted that 'Kaspersky Anti-Virus scanned the most viruses in the allotted time and was the only solution to detect viruses in compressed and password protected files.'
