PC Professionell recommends Kaspersky Anti-Virus as the best anti-virus solution for companies with limited budgets
Kaspersky Lab, an international data-security software-development company, is the recipient of yet another award: according to test results released by the German computer magazine PC Professionell, Kaspersky Anti-Virus is the publication's choice for small- and medium-sized businesses desiring a high-quality anti-virus at an affordable price.

In the June issue, PC Professionell has published the results from antivirus software tests for small- and medium-sized computer networks. For purposes of the test, a twenty-workstation network operating on Windows 95/98/ME/2000 and one Windows NT server were chosen. The magazine conducted the tests on the premises of its own testing lab, introducing a serious selection of viruses including the most infamous and dangerous viruses and Internet worms, as well as malicious Java applets and Trojan programs. Nine anti-virus programs were chosen for testing: Sophos, Norman, Symantec, McAfee, Trend Micro, F-Secure, H+BEDV, Finjan and Kaspersky Anti-Virus.
The test consisted of several stages; in particular the level of virus detection via on demand scanning and in real time "on the fly" was analyzed, as well as the anti-virus' ability to correctly treat infected files and restore the original contents was assessed. Not to be overlooked were the anti-virus' quickness and its system and network demands as a whole. In the traditional display of high product results, Kaspersky Anti-Virus was presented with a special award, "Budget Recommended," being recognized as the anti-virus with an excellent level of anti-virus defense.
In awarding the prize to Kaspersky Anti-Virus, the editorial staff noted the outstanding results of the scanning and anti-virus defense programs, the quarantine function-the isolating of suspicious files to a special directory for further investigation by the system administrator-and in addition to this, the product's relatively low cost.
The PC Professionell editorial staff's conclusions once again underline the fact that an anti-virus solution can be all-inclusive and inexpensive, as clearly demonstrated by Kaspersky Anti-Virus.
