Microsoft recognises the new product as being 'Designed for Windows XP'
Kaspersky Lab, a leading information security software developer, announces an additional certificate for Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal 5.0. The product successfully met all certification criteria, and is now acknowledged as 'Designed for Windows XP'.
A wide range of criteria are included in the 'Designed for Windows XP' testing program. These criteria, which ensure that a program will remain stable on a Windows XP platform, include standardised installation and deletion procedures and compatibility with Windows XP applications.
During Microsoft testing, the new antivirus acquitted itself well, meeting all functional, technical and consumer criteria. As a result, Kaspersky Lab is now entitled to use the 'Designed for Windows XP' on product packaging and marketing materials.
"Working with Microsoft promotes technical development and offers a range of other benefits. Our productive relationship with Microsoft has already resulted in the company being awarded Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for Security Solutions status. We are now strengthening this relationship, and have been focussing on the functional and consumer qualities of our products for Windows. The 'Designed for Windows XP' underlines the simplicity, user-friendliness and effectiveness of our new antivirus solution" stated Denis Zenkin, Kaspersky Lab Head of Corporate Communications.
