Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 awarded ProtectStar Computer Security Award 2004 by German consulting company.
ProtectStar, a German consulting company, has given Kaspersky® Anti-Virus 5.0 its ProtectStar Computer Security Award 2004. Company personnel tested products from a number of information security manufacturers, in order to make recommendations for enterprise and home users. The test criteria were as follows: security, performance, interface usability, support, and price/ quality relationship. Testers concluded that the new version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus is effective solution and an excellent choice both for home users and for small and medium businesses. The reasons for this verdict - the program detected nearly 100% (99.65%) of viruses used in the test, and updates to the anti-virus database are released every three hours. 24 hour technical support, an ergonomic and user friendly interface, and efficient use of system resources all played their role in the testers' final decision: a strong recommendation placing Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 first among all products tested.
