Kaspersky Lab has won the prestigious Expo Comm Best Technology Launch award for its latest release, Kaspersky Anti-Virus Mobile.
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, has won the prestigious Expo Comm Best Technology Launch award for its latest release, Kaspersky Anti-Virus Mobile. The product protects smartphones from malicious programs and spam.
In addition to the Best Technology Launch award, Kaspersky Lab was also nominated in the Best Technology for Small and Medium-Size Enterprises category. Nominations and awards are decided by a jury of respected media representatives from Mexico and other Latin American countries.
“This is the second consecutive year that Kaspersky Lab has received an award at Expo Comm,” said Luis Diaz, general manager of Rusoft S.A., Kaspersky Lab’s partner in Mexico. “Last year, we won second prize in the Best Technology for Small and Medium-Size Enterprises category, so it’s great to go one better and take a top honour. The award reflects the hard work put in by the company and its partners during the past 12 months.”

Kaspersky Anti-Virus Mobile protects mobile devices based on the Symbian and Windows Mobile operating systems from different types of malicious programs and mass-mailed MMS and SMS messages.
Other products exhibited by Kaspersky Lab at Expo Comm 2007 included the latest versions of the company’s home user security products, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 and Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0.
Expo Comm 2007 is an international IT and telecommunications exhibition that took place in Mexico City from February 27 to March 2, 2007.
