In its December issue, the popular Croatian computer magazine "BUG" has published a list of the best programs for 2001. In the category "Computer Safety Programs," first place was convincingly awarded to Kaspersky Lab.
In order to receive this award, Kaspersky Anti-Virus had to go up against some strong competitors. As a matter of reference, second place was taken by the inter-network defense program firewall, and third place was taken by Advanced NT Security Explorer.
The editorial staff at BUG noted in its commentary following its selections that Kaspersky Anti-Virus has an exclusively high level of detection and deletion for malicious programs of all types, successfully combined with fast working speed and low demand on system resources. Particular attention was paid to the integrated downloading system and hook-up to anti-virus database updates via the Internet, making the procedure extremely convenient and simple. In conclusion, the editorial staff made its final assessment: "Kaspersky Anti-Virus is a very convenient and reliable product deserving our recommendation."
