Kaspersky Lab releases an antivirus solution to protect corporate mail traffic for open beta testing
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions that protect against viruses, Trojans, worms, spyware, hacker attacks and spam, announces the release of Kaspersky® Anti-Virus for MIMESweeper 1.0 for open beta testing.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus for MIMESweeper tightly integrates with Clearswift MIMESweeper for SMTP software to provide hi-speed virus scanning of all SMTP traffic processed through MIMESweeper security software for email. Development of this plugin is a natural result of the successful cooperation between Kaspersky Lab and Clearswift established in 2005 to integrate Kaspersky® Anti-Virus into the Clearswift MIMESweeper SMTP Appliance.
This new plugin from Kaspersky Lab allows more than 15,000 MIMESweeper customers worldwide to protect their corporate mail traffic with the award winning Kaspersky Anti-Virus Engine, well known for its accuracy, reliability and detection rates. Kaspersky Anti-Virus for MIMESweeper ships with an integrated tool that pulls antivirus updates from Kaspersky Lab servers automatically according to customizable predefined settings (every 30 minutes, every hour, every 3 hours, etc.) or manually.
All users of MIMESweeper software are welcome to participate in the open beta testing. The fully functional beta version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for MIMESweeper will be available for download from the beta testing section of the Kaspersky Lab website until June 5, 2006.
