Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 receives VB 100% on Windows Vista

VB 100% 2007Virus Bulletin, one of the most respected international publications covering computer virology, has published a comparative review of Windows Vista-compatible antivirus solutions for home users. Testing was conducted using Virus Bulletin’s WildList malicious program test set, which includes malware capable of evading the protection built into Microsoft’s operating system. Among the solutions tested was Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 with a beta version of Maintenance Pack 2 installed. The maintenance pack provides full compatibility of the product with Windows Vista. Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 passed the test with flying colors: it detected and removed 100% of all the malicious programs used in the test. Virus Bulletin experts also mentioned the product’s easy-to-use interface, its high performance and file scanning quality. For providing a high level of security for home platforms based on the Windows Vista operating system, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 was recognized as one of the best IT security products on the market and received the Virus Bulletin 100% award. The final version of Maintenance Pack 2 for the company’s personal products, Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0, was released on January 30, 2007. This version is even more stable and efficient than the beta tested by Virus Bulletin.
