Kaspersky Lab’s newest home user product recognized for protection from spyware
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces the latest accolade awarded to Kaspersky® Anti-Virus 6.0. The latest version of Kaspersky Lab’s antivirus solutions, has received another Checkmark certificate from West Coast Labs, this time in the Anti-Spyware category. The certification will be welcomed by homes users, as spyware is being used increasingly by cybercriminals to collect information about victim computers and users.
In the Checkmark Anti-Spyware Desktop testing, an application must detect all spyware samples from a West Coast Labs collection without any false positives. Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 passed the test with flying colors, continuing the tradition established by previous generations of Kaspersky Lab products.
Kaspersky Lab products consistently deliver excellent performances in tests conducted by the independent lab – Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 has also received Checkmark certification in the Antivirus Level 1, Antivirus Level 2 and Trojan categories.
The Checkmark system developed by West Coast Labs (www.check-mark.com), an independent British research center, is a multiple-level system that tests the quality of software and verifies that it meets security standards. Based on testing results, West Coast Labs issues certificates that confirm the high quality and reliability of the software tested.
