Kaspersky Lab announces open beta testing of the latest version to protect corporate networks
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions that protect against viruses, Trojans, worms, spyware, hacker attacks and spam, announces the open beta testing of Kaspersky® Anti-Virus 5.5 for Microsoft ISA Server 2004 Enterprise Edition. This latest version is designed to protect corporate networks from malicious threats and includes a number of improvements to the previous version.
One of the main technological innovations to Kaspersky® Anti-Virus 5.5 for Microsoft ISA Server 2004 Enterprise Edition is support for installation on server arrays, making the solution suitable for large corporate networks. The solution provides centralized management, which enables the parameters for all servers in the array and the procedure for antivirus database updates to be managed from a single point.
This improved version includes all of the features of its predecessor, Kaspersky® Anti-Virus 5.5 for Microsoft ISA Server 2000 Enterprise Edition, such as schedules for automatically downloading antivirus database updates via the Internet, monitoring of the system operation using standard Windows tools, configuration of antivirus scanning parameters, scanning result notifications and lists of trusted servers and object types for which antivirus scanning will not be performed on data sent to and/or from servers or objects.
Kaspersky® Anti-Virus for Microsoft ISA Server 2004 Enterprise Edition is an antivirus monitoring system specifically for files transferred via HTTP and FTP protocols through the Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2004 Enterprise Edition firewall. The program works as a filter that intercepts HTTP and FTP data, identifies objects to be analyzed and scans them for malicious code. If malicious code is detected, the system blocks its further transfer, thereby ruling out the penetration of infected files and web documents into the organization's local area network.
In accordance with current product development plans, a fully functional commercial version of Kaspersky® Anti-Virus 5.5 for Microsoft ISA Server 2004 Enterprise Edition will be released in December 2005.
