Kaspersky Lab's latest antispam solution receives the prestigious Checkmark certification
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer or secure content management solutions, announces that the prestigious Checkmark Anti-Spam Premium certification has been awarded to Kaspersky Anti-Spam 3.0 by West Coast Labs, a UK-based research center that is a globally acknowledged authority on IT security. West Coast Labs certificates are awarded to products that have undergone complicated multi-level testing and attest to the effectiveness and reliability of the IT security solutions tested. The Checkmark Anti-Spam Premium certificate is awarded only to products that have demonstrated spam filtration effectiveness in excess of 97%.
Kaspersky Anti-Spam 3.0 protects users of corporate mail systems against unwanted mail. Intelligent technologies for email message analysis and a real-time response to new spammer mailings enable the solution to block the vast majority of spam messages.
In addition to the product’s highly effective filtration, West Coast Labs emphasized the wide range of mail servers and Linux-based operating systems supported, ease of installation and configuration, a convenient and functional administration interface, exhaustive technical documentation and flexible configuration of policies for blocking unwanted messages.
West Coast Labs also rated highly the solution’s performance, which they called “impressive” in their test report. They also mentioned the low system requirements of Kaspersky Anti-Spam 3.0 and the high speed with which incoming messages are scanned, “with virtually no impact in delivery times noticeable”.
According to West Coast Labs experts, the product’s “flexibility, when coupled with the performance of the scanning and reporting tools available, provides a strong defense against spam.”
