Kaspersky Anti-Virus Business Optimal scored 85% in comparative tests conducted by Internet Professionell, the German on-line publication, and received the "Editor's Choice" award.
Internet Professionell, the well-known German on-line publication, conducted comparative tests on comprehensive solutions with centralized administration from ten antivirus software companies. Testing was carried out on a local network with a Windows 2000 server and fifteen workstations running Windows Me or XP. For all the products being tested the presence of an installed centralized control panel on a Windows NT, 2000, or 2003 server was mandatory. Kaspersky® Anti-Virus Business Optimal scored 85 out of 100 and received the "Editor's Choice" award. According to the reviewers' evaluation, the Kaspersky Lab solution provided one of the best clients from products tested.
As the test results showed, the Kaspersky Lab software is distinguished by high detection rates and a solid array of functions. After installing the network control panel and individual client packets, new workstations can be easily added to the control structure with the help of a search function. Clients can be updated from the main server or via the Internet.
The editors concluded that the Kaspersky Lab' solution was appealing for its simple installation, an impressive user manual and very good virus detection rates.
