As part of Kaspersky Lab’s ongoing commitment to protect users from the latest ransomware, Fedor Sinitsyn, Senior Malware Analyst at the company, has developed a decryption tool to help victims of CryptXXX restore encrypted files
Kaspersky Lab today announced Alexander Moiseev as its new Chief Sales Officer. Effective immediately, the new appointment will cement the company’s position at the forefront of new business development – in areas such as transportation-systems cyber security – whilst sustaining growth and technology leadership in its already established enterprise, SMB and consumer markets.
In the role of Chief Sales Officer, Moiseev will report directly to Andrey Tikhonov, Chief Operating Officer of Kaspersky Lab since 2011. Garry Kondakov, who greatly contributed to the development of Kaspersky Lab’s business, is no longer with the company and the Chief Business Officer position has been eliminated.
Commenting on the new appointment, Eugene Kaspersky, founder and CEO of the company, said: “Alexander brings a refreshing style of entrepreneurial leadership to our senior management team that will ensure the company’s continued success in a rapidly changing market. His track record in business development and generating growth, both at country and regional levels, speaks for itself and I’m delighted to announce this well-deserved promotion.”
“I am very excited about the opportunities this new global role brings and will work very closely with our regional teams, partners and customers to grow Kaspersky Lab’s market share,” commented Moiseev. “With technologically advanced solutions and more complex IT, one of the first focus areas for us will be to continue developing and empowering our salesforce to meet the demands of enterprise customers. In doing so we will be able to enhance their competencies in areas of development such as transportation and industrial security.”
To guarantee business continuity for all European partners and customers during his transition to the new global role, Moiseev remains as Acting Managing Director of Europe until further notice.
Moiseev grew up in Italy, where he joined Kaspersky Lab as business development manager in 2006. In 2008 he was appointed General Manager for Italy and quickly propelled the business from a relatively unknown brand to a household name and, in doing so, delivered impressive growth. In 2013 Moiseev took on the role of Managing Director of Europe, further developing his international management experience and entrepreneurial business approach to grow the business at a regional level.
