Kaspersky Lab researchers have detected NukeBot – new malware which has been designed to steal the credentials of online banking customers.
Kaspersky Lab presents a new version of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Mac to address modern heterogeneous environment cybersecurity trends and threats. The solution will be available as part of the Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business suite, which can be managed from a single console – Kaspersky Security Center.
As Mac OS already holds a noticeable amount of the endpoint market (approximately 6%) and continues to grow, the number of Mac-specific malware is also rising. Another common trend is the wide spread of heterogeneous networks within mid-sized businesses and enterprises. The variety of platforms (including Windows, Mac, Linux and virtual environments) used in modern organizations makes it difficult to protect the IT environment and valuable business data. In addition, decentralized computing makes the job of securing IT assets and business data even harder.
In response to these trends Kaspersky Lab has updated its Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business suite with Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Mac. The new Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Mac is a powerful combination of deep protection, efficiency, and seamless manageability, designed to serve the need for protecting heterogeneous IT environments. It delivers a broad array of tools and technologies which is easy to deploy and use. The features, which are now available in the new version of this popular security solution for business, offer Mac owners a host of new security benefits.
Integration with Kaspersky Lab’s Kaspersky Security Network allows businesses to take advantage of cloud-enabled security intelligence for the quick identification of malware and other suspicious activity.
Kaspersky Lab’s Network Attack Blocker monitors suspicious activity on company networks – and lets a company’s IT specialists pre-define how their systems will respond if any suspicious behavior is detected. The purpose of the Network Attack Blocker component is to block network attacks including port scanning, denial-of-service attacks, buffer-overrun attacks and other remote malicious actions taken against programs and services working on the network.
To keep partners and their employees safe from web threats Kaspersky Lab has complemented its Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Mac with Web Protection and Anti-phishing technology. This scans all incoming and outgoing traffic, blocks harmful scripts without impacting system resources and helps partners to confront cybercriminals, who are trying to access private and financial information through fake (phishing) sites. The result is an increase in the overall levels of protection from Mac-specific threats.
“At Kaspersky Lab we believe that every business, regardless of its size and market, has unique and complex infrastructure, which requires deep multi-layered cybersecurity protection. We believe that each component of corporate infrastructure should be protected because cybercriminals will use every chance they can to infiltrate a corporate network. Enhancing our Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business line – providing flexible multi-layered protection for different infrastructures and platforms against modern cyberthreats - will make it easy for businesses to protect themselves, including those businesses using Mac platforms. We believe that this approach allows our partners to concentrate on business development without having to worry about cybersecurity,” said Konstantin Voronkov, Head of Endpoint Product Management, Kaspersky Lab.
