Privacy Policy for Kaspersky Password Manager Extension for Firefox for Windows

This Privacy Policy describes how the Kaspersky Password Manager Extension for Firefox for Windows (hereinafter "Software") handles data provided to it by users (hereinafter "You" or "User"). The Software is an add-on to the Kaspersky Password Manager application for Windows (hereinafter "Product").

In this Privacy Policy, we at AO Kaspersky Lab (hereinafter "Kaspersky", "Rightholder", or "we") provide information about data processing, in particular, purposes of data processing, which data is processed, data protection standards, and the rights of data subjects. This Privacy Policy shall prevail over any conflicting sections of the Kaspersky Products and Services Privacy Policy.

The data you agree to provide us will be processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Purposes of Processing and Processed Data

  • To enable the core functionality of the Software consisting of the transmission of data that You input into webpages to be stored in the Product and used to autofill or autocomplete online forms, the following data must be processed, which may be considered personal according to applicable laws of certain countries: URL of the web page, content of the web page, information that the user has filled in on the websites and saved in the Product (user’s login, password, first name, last name, address, card number, cardholder name, CVV, expiration date).

  • To install the Product or update the Product upon Your request, if the version of the Product conflicts with the Software version, in order to use the Software, the following information will be provided to the Rightholder, which shall be processed in a way that does not directly link it to any particular individual: the localization and the version of the Extension, link destination.

  • To improve the quality and appearance of the Software and/or Product, with Your agreement, by combining data about Your interactions with the Software with data processed by the Product in accordance with the Statement Regarding Data Processing for Marketing Purposes via the Product, the following data will be transmitted to the Product: user activity - clicks, opening interface windows of the Extension.

  • If you click the button "Leave Feedback" in the Software, in order to increase efficiency and responsiveness to Your feedback, the following data, which does not directly link it to any particular individual, will be transmitted to the Product: type and version of the browser.

Data Protection Standards

We use the highest level of standards for data protection and apply a variety of legal measures and best practices in order to protect user data, guarantee safety and confidentiality, and ensure the rights of users. In addition, we delete or anonymize personal data whenever the purpose for their processing has expired, there are no legal requirements to keep them, or whenever it is practical to do so.
