Kaspersky® Anti-Virus is first to be localized in Estonian Kaspersky Lab, an international data-security, software-development company, announces the localization of Kaspersky Anti-Virus in the Estonian language, thus making its well-known software suite the first anti-virus product to do so. Undergoing the transformation into the Estonian language were Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal, Personal Pro and Business Optimal for Windows Workstations. These products were chosen as they are the versions most fitting the needs of end users, and are often used with only a superficial knowledge of information technology. To ensure effective use the programs have been made replete with special computer terms that are simply required in a native language interface. The translation of Kaspersky Anti-Virus into Estonian helps to further solidify the company's product positions not only among home users but also in the small and medium size business and government customers segments. As many large organizations have strict corporate standards they prefer to use localized versions of software products. At this time the fundamental version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus software is available in seven languages: English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Italian and now Estonian. Some of the products are also translated into Polish, Icelandic, Ukrainian, Czech and an array of other languages. Kaspersky Lab expresses its gratitude to the Menelon company, official Kaspersky Lab partner in Estonia, for providing tremendous assistance in the process of Estonian localization for Kaspersky Anti-Virus.
