Kaspersky Lab welcomed journalists from some of Europe’s leading General Interest, Lifestyle and IT publications at the "Racing Into a Secure Future" press tour held in Bologna, Italy, on 31 May-3 June.
At the press event Kaspersky Lab and Ferrari's top management unveiled the latest stage of the partnership between the two companies – a technical cooperation plan – while giving guests an insight into the partnership in action by showing them the Ferrari Challenge Race and hosting the press conference at Ferrari’s Factory.
The companies have embarked on a technical cooperation program that will see Ferrari implement specially designed Kaspersky Lab IT security solutions. “We are happy to enter a new stage in our enormously successful partnership with Ferrari. Our two companies share the same core values: cutting-edge technology, innovation, the highest quality and a passion for progress,” said Eugene Kaspersky, CEO and co-founder of Kaspersky Lab. “Our company has been fighting cybercrime and constantly developing its solutions for 15 years, and we’ll be happy to protect Ferrari’s systems and cars with our latest technologies – this project will be really unique and innovative!”
“The notion of security has always been very important for Ferrari. As we are always moving ahead and making progress, we are going to focus on IT security in the coming months: it will be the main challenge for Ferrari’s Information and Communication Technology department,” said Vittorio Boero, Ferrari CIO. “Kaspersky Lab is not only a Sponsor of Scuderia Ferrari racing team but also a global leader in IT security, and together we can build a strong technical partnership. We are very glad that our partnership will extend to supplying both expertise and technology to our ICT infrastructure. This will be both a very challenging and advantageous project for both companies, which will further strengthen our partnership!”
