Venice is a popular tourist destination. However, the real experience starts when you step away from the main tourist routes. The Dolomites: experience epic landscapes

The Dolomites offer some of the most dramatic mountain landscapes in Europe, but what makes them truly special is how you experience them. If you visit in winter, skiing the Sellaronda is unforgettable. It’s a full-day route that connects multiple valleys around the Sella massif, letting you ski across stunning scenery without ever repeating the same run. Between the perfectly maintained slopes and the surreal peaks surrounding you, it feels less like a ski day and more like moving through a natural masterpiece.

Lago Maggiore: a place I always come back to

Lago Maggiore is home for me, and it’s a place I always come back to. One of my favorite spots is the Rocca d’Angera, a medieval fortress overlooking the lake, surrounded by nature and incredible views. The whole area is perfect for outdoor activities, from cycling and hiking to simply spending time by the water.

My personal highlight is stand-up paddle at sunset.

The lake becomes completely calm, the light softens, and everything slows down. It’s one of those moments that feels both peaceful and deeply in sync with the nature.

Camogli: a hidden gem

Camogli is a small seaside town on the Ligurian coast that feels like something out of a fairytale. Colorful houses line the waterfront, small fishing boats sit in the harbor and life moves at a slower, more genuine pace. It’s the kind of place where you can spend hours doing very little, just walking along

Compared to more famous coastal destinations like Portofino, it’s far less crowded and much more authentic.

It’s my favourite place with an incredible view over the Ligurian coast, surrounded by nature, where I always enjoy authentic local cuisine in a relaxed setting. Here I tried some of the best regional dishes like trofie al pesto, focaccette fritte, and pansoti con salsa di noci – simple recipes, but unforgettable.
