A gadget is a small tool that has a particular function and can be connected to a more complex product or device via the standard interface. This definition perfectly describes the notion of Kaspersky Gadget. If you use Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 (or Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2014) under Microsoft Windows Vista or Microsoft Windows 7, Kaspersky Gadget is available to you.
Kaspersky Gadget is a compact interface of the product that allows you to perform basic tasks more easily and allows you to always see the protection status of your computer. Using the gadget, you can quickly open the main application window for detailed settings.
After the installation of a Kaspersky Lab antivirus solution on a computer that runs under Microsoft Windows 7 / Vista, add Kaspersky Gadget manually. To add it under Microsoft Windows 7, right-click on any free place on your Desktop and select Gadgets from the drop-down menu. Find Kaspersky Gadget and right-click to add it. With Kaspersky Gadget, you can quickly perform the following actions:
- To start the application, click the Run button in the center of the gadget.
- To open the main application window, click the image of a monitor.
- To start virus scan, drag the object you need to scan to the gadget.
