Kaspersky Lab UK responds to major market growth with move to larger UK head office

Kaspersky Lab UK today announced that due to significant growth in the UK market, the company has relocated its UK office to larger premises. Co-founder and CEO of Kaspersky Lab, Eugene Kaspersky and the UK Shadow Culture Minister, Ed Vaizey, will officially open the new environmentally friendly office in Milton Park, Abingdon, on Tuesday 16th June 2009.

With the number of people employed by Kaspersky Lab in the UK doubling over the last two years, the company has outgrown its previous offices at the Culham Science Centre near Abingdon. The new Kaspersky Lab UK office at Milton Park boasts almost 30,000 sq ft of floor space, giving the company the space it requires to fulfil its commitment of continued market growth and expansion.

The Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab UK, Malcolm Tuck, comments: “Kaspersky Lab has doubled UK corporate sales quarter on quarter during the period between Q4 2008 to end of Q1 2009. We are bucking the downward trend that has hit many other companies worldwide and establishing a much larger UK office is an important signal that we are wholly dedicated to the UK and Abingdon.”

Kaspersky Lab supplies award-winning product for homes and business users, with the Kaspersky Open Space Security suite recently winning the prestigious SC Magazine Award for Security Product of the Year 2009.

Tuck adds: “Not only is Kaspersky Lab getting bigger in the UK, it is becoming ever more innovative in the products it brings to market and the service and support it provides to its resellers and distributors to help them to succeed.”
