The award is based on the findings of nine different comparative tests of consumer anti-virus solutions conducted over the year, which in Kaspersky Lab’s case means two products - Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Kaspersky Internet Security.

The end user solution Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 has won a comparative test of the PC magazines CD Austria and PC News (issues 12/11). These consumer PC magazines tested eight security suites. Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 won the test with 47 points in total. The test benchmarks were: malware detection and removal, firewall, usability, and performance. Beside the technical test results, the testers praised the new interface and ease of navigation of the Kaspersky Lab solution. In addition, features like the virtual keyboard and vulnerability analysis were lauded. The joint conclusion of PC News and CD Austria was: "Because of its resource-conserving approach, excellent scanning speed, and high detection rates for malware, Kaspersky Lab is the worthy winner."

Kaspersky Lab PURE 2011 has been awarded “Star of the Year” in the “Security Package” category in PCnet’s annual awards. The publication, one of the most popular and highly-circulated computer magazines of Turkey, describes Kaspersky PURE as follows: “This product is an all-in-one package and everything that can be expected from a security package. Kaspersky PURE is more than just anti-virus or Internet security software; it combines its outstanding anti-virus technology with numerous security tools. In addition to protecting users’ data and folders via back-up and encryption, PURE also features password management and virtual keyboard functions against phishing. This special product also protects children and eliminates unwanted data.”

Kaspersky Lab announces that Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows has been awarded the prestigious VB100 accolade from the authoritative British magazine Virus Bulletin.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 has been awarded five stars – the highest number possible – in testing carried out by the prestigious Spanish magazine PC World. In granting the award, PC World highlighted “the power of collective intelligence stored in the cloud” referring to the Kaspersky Security Network feature, a collaborative approach to early identification of new threats and software identified as unsafe. It also praised the software’s new user-friendly interface, URL Filter, File Advisor, Anti-Spam and Parental Control features, and advanced Task Manager. Last but not least, Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 achieved the highest malware detection level - better than all the other programs in the testing, sealing the fate of the software as being judged simply the best of the breed.

Kaspersky Internet Security Special Ferrari Edition has achieved top marks in testing conducted by the prestigious Spanish magazine Revista Oficial de Windows (Official Windows Magazine). In presenting the award, the publication mentioned that it was impressed most by the product offering a complete solution, while doing its job without restricting users’ activities or requiring valuable time and resources on maintaining the product’s performance. The special edition also includes the Ferrari Virtual Academy video simulator.

Kaspersky Enterprise Space Security has received a Best Product of the Year award from the Spanish magazine Data.ti. Readers of Data.ti – mostly IT managers – were asked to vote for the products they consider most valuable in 14 different categories. Kaspersky Enterprise Space Security participated in the security section, receiving 17.4% of the votes, followed by Panda (16.9%) and McAfee (14.9%). With a total of 10 products nominated, the magazine highlights the merit of winning in the security category. Kaspersky Enterprise Space Security came out on top for characteristics such as “antivirus that blocks all malware and protection for mail servers, computers, files and mobile devices”.

Kaspersky PURE has received an award from Spanish magazine PC Actual following testing by its experts. The magazine presented Kaspersky PURE with the Recommended Product seal of approval for its readers with a score of 9.5/10 for value and 8.5/10 for price. The virtual keyboard and backup features were singled out for particular praise. Testing by the magazine’s experts highlighted the “versatility” and “integration” of Kaspersky PURE as its outstanding features.

Kaspersky Lab’s home security solution Kaspersky PURE received an overall grade of Excellent in stand-alone testing carried out by the authoritative German trade journal ”Computer – das Magazin für die Praxis,“ as reported in their March, 2011 edition.

The magazine’s experts were impressed by the comprehensive range of protection offered by the solution, which protects Internet users from malware and all the latest web-based attacks, and in particular with the backup module, parental control facility and data encryption possibilities. The experts’ conclusion: “With this software you really get everything you need for your computer’s protection in a single program.”

Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 has been awarded the title ‘Super Product’ by the popular Polish computer technology Internet portal benchmark.pl. Kaspersky Lab’s solution earned the highest possible mark in testing – the only product of those tested to do so. Experts from benchmark.pl analysed 10 of the most popular IT security software packages available on the Polish market. Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 was the only one to receive five stars out of a possible five, winning it the title ‘Super Product’

Authoritative French IT magazine Micro Hebdo has declared Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 the number one security software suite. Micro Hebdo tested fifteen popular security suites and each was benchmarked against a total of 147 different criteria. During testing, Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 demonstrated its strengths in the following areas: virtual keyboard, web filtration by category, proactive defense using cloud-based reputation services, firewall/IDS, parental control and anti-spam capabilities.

Kaspersky Lab’s products have taken two awards in PC World Magazine’s Product of the Year poll in Poland. Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 swept to victory in the ’Anti-Virus Programs’ category and Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 led the field in the ‘Security Suites’ category. Both Kaspersky Lab solutions finished well ahead of the other nine contenders, and were the magazine editors’ first choice in each category too.

The prestigious Dutch magazine SHiFT has presented Kaspersky Lab with a SUPER SHiFT award in recognition of Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 for Windows’ test performance. The magazine judged Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 to be an ‘exceptionally comprehensive suite’ providing users’ systems with ‘fine-meshed protection’. Based on the product’s performance, experts from the magazine’s test lab awarded the suite a remarkable 9.5 out of 10!
