Or maybe it was stolen by a nimble-fingered thief?<\/p>\n<p>In this situation, many people would like to know where their\u00a0phone is exactly, and if something bad happened to\u00a0it, to be able to control the device remotely: lock it and send a few words to the thieves (to curse them or ask that they bring the phone back in exchange for\u00a0money).<\/p>\n<p>Or, if nothing else helps, to remove sensitive data from the phone. App\" width=\"180\" height=\"308\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>quickly block a phone or a tablet to prevent unauthorized access to stored information;<\/li>\n<li>find the device location on a\u00a0map using GPS, GSM or Wi-Fi networks;<\/li>\n<li>take a picture with the front camera (there is always a chance you\u2019ll take a photo of a thief or a decent shot of his\/her location);<\/li>\n<li>turn on the Alarm feature that continues until the owner enters a secret code (you can use this option to find a phone lost somewhere at home);<\/li>\n<li>bring up a message on the device\u2019s screen;<\/li>\n<li>as a last resort, the owner can use Phound! to remove all personal data, including contacts, messages, photos, videos etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/press.kaspersky.com\/files\/2014\/08\/Kaspersky_Lab_Consumer_Security_Risks_Survey_2014_ENG.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">survey<\/a> in 2013-2014, one respondent in twenty on average \u2013 and as many as one in six for some countries! \u2013 lost their smartphone or tablet as a result of carelessness or theft.
