It\u2019s Twitter\u2019s cute way of apologizing for a significant service outage. But Twitter isn\u2019t the only online service that has an amusing image that uses a charming mascot to deliver bad news. Here are the rest of the cuddly inhabitants of the zoo of online failure:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2012\/12\/06052137\/google-whale-fail.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-878\" title=\"google-whale-fail\" src=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2012\/12\/06052137\/google-whale-fail.jpg\" alt=\"google-whale-fail\" width=\"236\" height=\"300\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Google Books\u2019 Whale Fail<\/strong>: In what must be a surefire case of intellectual property infringement (disclosure: we\u2019re not lawyers), Google Books also employs a whale\u2019s image when they fail to deliver \u2013 albeit it a bit differently. The cartoon image of a disappointed 19<sup>th<\/sup> Century whaler hanging his head as a spouting whale disappears beyond a wave isn\u2019t quite as blissful as Twitter\u2019s Fail Whale.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2012\/12\/06052136\/tumblrbeasts.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-879\" title=\"tumblrbeasts\" src=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2012\/12\/06052136\/tumblrbeasts.png\" alt=\"tumblrbeasts\" width=\"300\" height=\"138\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tumblr\u2019s Tumbeasts<\/strong>: These adorable and weird green monsters are clearly up to no good, running amok with various computer components in their sharp-teethed mouths. But they come with a charming apology: \u201cWe may have forgotten to feed the wild Tumbeasts that roam our datacenter, which often results in unexpected downtime due to gnawing and\/or mutiny. Animal control has been alerted.\u201d Almost makes you wish Tumblr went down more often.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2012\/12\/06052135\/aollifestream.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-880\" title=\"aollifestream\" src=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2012\/12\/06052135\/aollifestream-300x203.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"203\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>AOL Lifestream Fail Bunny<\/strong>: AOL has embraced the ever-popular idea of employing a cute messenger to deliver bad news for its social media aggregator, Lifestream.
