Kaspersky Lab\u2019s products received commendations from a number of respected independent testing labs, such as AV-Test, AV-Comparatives, and a few others earlier this year. Their tests included assessment of new malware detection quality, the reliability of protection against phishing and financial threats, the impact on the device\u2019s performance, and many others aspects equally important for both end-user and business-oriented cybersecurity products.<\/p>\n
In this post we will focus on the awards pertaining to our business-oriented products received in Q1.<\/p>\n
AV-Comparatives<\/strong><\/p>\n In Q1 of 2015, Austria\u2019s AV-Comparatives published its annual review for 2014<\/a>. This included the results of two Real-World Protection tests, two File Detection tests, two Performance tests, one Proactive (Retrospective) test and the 8-month Malware Removal test. According to the review, Kaspersky Lab was one of two companies that collected the most Advanced+ certificates and, as a result, earned a Top Rated certificate.<\/p>\n In addition, the company received gold certificates for the File Detection and Best Overall Speed tests, as well as silver certificates for Real-World Protection, Proactive Malware Detection, and Malware Removal.<\/p>\n Kaspersky Lab business products awarded by independent testing labs #security<\/p>Tweet<\/a><\/blockquote>\n AV-Comparatives also added Performance Test, released in May 2015, as well as Heuristic\/Bahvioural Test and File Detection Test, both published in March 2015<\/a>.<\/p>\n In all three, Kaspersky Lab\u2019s products were awarded Advanced+ awards.<\/p>\n Given that all Kaspersky Lab\u2019s products share the unified codebase, aforementioned tests results are well applicable to our business products.<\/p>\n AV-Test<\/strong><\/p>\n In the first quarter of 2015, the German AV-Test research institute published the results of its latest Bi-Monthly Certification tests of Internet Security class solutions for corporate and home users (for November-December 2014 and January-February 2015). Kaspersky Internet Security received two AV-Test Certified and Kaspersky Endpoint Security<\/a> \u2013 two AV-Test \u201cApproved\u201d certificates for their performance.<\/p>\n We already see results of tests for Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10.2<\/a> and Kaspersky Small Office Security 4<\/a> published in April (i.e. in Q2). Both received \u201cApproved\u201d certificates as well.<\/p>\n MRG Effitas<\/strong><\/p>\n MRG Effitas<\/a> announced the results of two global tests \u2013 Online Banking \/ Browser Security Certification and the MRG Effitas 360 Assessment & Certification Programme. Both tests were carried out in Q4 of 2014.<\/p>\n The first test, which focused solely on protection against financial threats, included three trials to evaluate the effectiveness of current malware detection, protection against the leak of payment data on a computer that is part of a botnet, and combating attempts to inject malicious code in the browser processes.<\/p>\n While it was Kaspersky Internet Security that was tested in both cases, for protection of online transactions it uses the very same technology as the other Kaspersky Lab products, namely Kaspersky Small Office Security. It is Safe Money<\/a> technology, shipped also as a standalone product.<\/p>\n Virus Bulletin<\/strong><\/p>\n In Q1 2015 Virus Bulletin released two sets of results: December\u2019s VB100 certification<\/a> of products designed to protect Windows 7 SP1 64-bit and January\u2019s VBSpam<\/a> comparative review. Two Kaspersky Lab products \u2013 Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Small Office Security \u2013 participated in the first testing. Both detected 100% of malicious samples without producing a single false positive and were awarded VB100 certificates.<\/p>\n Kaspersky Security for Linux Mail Servers participated in the certification of anti-spam solutions. The product blocked 99.9% of spam messages and received yet another VBSpam+ certificate. The experts highlighted the fact that Kaspersky Security for Linux Mail Servers was one of just three solutions that did not generate a single false positive.<\/p>\n
