Our updates are always aimed at improving anti-virus functions, which means providing better security for your computer. But how can you follow the latest trends and be informed whenever a service pack or a new version of the product is released? And do you actually need to remain posted when you can instead enjoy the hassle-free automatic update option? Today\u2019s tip will tell you all about that.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2013\/09\/06045606\/18.gif\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2786 aligncenter\" alt=\"18\" src=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2013\/09\/06045606\/18.gif\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kaspersky.com\/internet-security\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Kaspersky Internet Security 2014<\/a> can check for updates and give you a choice of modes in which updates are installed.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to keep the product up-to-date without any notifications, we recommend you use automatic update mode. This means installing the latest update packages and new versions in the background of your system.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to follow the updates, choose the mode in which you will be asked permission to install an update or a new version. Once it is turned on, you won\u2019t miss a thing.<\/p>\n<p>You can set the preferred update mode in the following way:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In the Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 main window, click the <b>Settings<\/b> link.<\/li>\n<li>Go to the <b>Additional<\/b> component in the sidebar menu, then click <b>Update<\/b> and choose the mode that suits you:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Download and install updates automatically<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li><b>\u00a0Prompt for permission to install before downloading updates<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li><b>Do not download updates automatically and do not notify when updates and new versions are available<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>However, the last variant is not recommended by <b>Kaspersky Lab<\/b> specialists.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2013\/09\/06045605\/1_en-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2787 aligncenter\" alt=\"1_en (1)\" src=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/92\/2013\/09\/06045605\/1_en-1.png\" width=\"600\" height=\"454\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Please note:<\/b> Patches are not considered program updates.<\/p>\n<p>A similar setting is available in <a href=\"http:\/\/support.kaspersky.com\/10237\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2014<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our anti-virus products are constantly being tested and improved.
