Release of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Linux Mail Server 5.6.26.3
What's new?
Version 5.6 of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Linux Mail Server merges the features
of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.5 for Linux and FreeBSD Mail Server with Kaspersky
Anti-Virus 5.6 for Sendmail with Milter API, and adds the following improvements:
- Both pre-queue and post-queue integration is supported for Exim. If pre-queue integration, e-mail is transferred for scanning before being added to the mail system queue while post-queue integration means that messages are scanned after being added to the queue. Automatic integration using the application configuration script is now available.
- Options for configuring the mail scanning functions have been enhanced: two scanning methods are now available. A message can be scanned as a single object, or the message can be scanned using a combined approach: first as a single object and then as a collection of its parts. These methods differ in terms of the level of protection provided.
- The application's configurations have changed. Individual configuration of separate groups of senders and recipients is now supported.
- The list of actions performed on messages has been extended. New actions which can be run when malware has been detected have been added.
- Content filtering capabilities have been extended by adding filters based on attachment size.
- The library of notification templates has been supplemented with additional administrator templates. Templates are now stored in a separate directory.
- Backup functionality has been extended - information files can be created for each backup entry.
- Reporting has been improved by increasing the thoroughness of the log setup.
- Functionality of statistics has been extended by adding per-message statistics.
- SNMP-queries for configuration, statistics, and application status are now supported. SNMP-traps are also supported.
- A command line administration tool has been added to the application's package. It is capable of managing various aspects of the application's functionality.
