  • If Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0/7.0 is installed on your PC and the update process is set to update from a local folder it may result in an error if the folder name was entered by any symbols except Latin.

Example, updates for Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0/7.0 were saved on your PC into a folder whose name is given in Japanese or any other symbols except Latin and the same folder is defined as an update source in the update settings. In this case the update process fails/ finishes with an error.

To rectify the problem, rename the update folder using LATIN symbols ONLY.

Example: C:\Updates. This working peculiarity will be fixed in Kaspersky Anti-Virus version
