  • When installing Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0 the Setup Wizard suggests configuring update of anti-virus databases the following way: 

    • Auto: (recommended) the updating process scans latest updates on the update servers of Kaspersky Lab taking the load on the server into consideration. 
    • Every 2 hour(s): user sets the update schedule (including update hours, minutes, weeks or months). 
    • Manually: update is launched only when initiated by the user.

    By clicking the Update now button the user can update the anti-virus databases before the installation process is complete.

    By clicking the Settings button the user can set settings of the proxy-server, add or change the update source and define the account (login/ password) for the update process.

    Configure the necessary settings and click Next to continue initial settings of Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0.

    InformationThe dialog windows of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP1/MP2, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 SOS  and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers  are the same. Only Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 MP1/ MP2 has different dialog windows with its product name.
