  • When installing Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0 the Setup Wizard suggests setting Interactive protection:

    Basic protection: in Basic protection the modules Application Activity analyzer and Enable Office Guard are enabled. For Application Activity the following functions are enabled: 

    • dangerous behaviour (analysis of the application behaviour in the system)
    • intrusion into process (invaders) 
    • hidden processes (rootkit)
    • suspicious values in registry
    • suspicious system activities
    • keylogger detection

    Interactive protection: in Interactive protection the following extended modules are enabled by on-demand of the user: 

    • Enable Anti-Hacker Training Mode. By default Anti-Hacker functions in Low security mode. Working in this mode Anti-Hacker uses predefined rules for applications and packages created by Kaspersky Lab experts and based on many years of experience. In the Training Mode Anti-Hacker allows the user to allow or to ban access to applications that try to connect to Internet. 
    • Enable registry Guard allows the user to control any changes in the system registry of Windows OS. 
    • Enable Application Integrity Control: traces all attempts of the modules to load in the controlled applications
    • Enable Extended Proactive Defense: consists of Application Integrity Control and Application Activity Analyzer. It is extended by the following functions: 
      • launching internet browser with parameters, 
      • window hooks

    Select the necessary protection type for the Interactive protection component and click Next to continue initial setting of Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0.

    InformationThe dialog windows of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP1/MP2 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations  and are the same. Only Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 MP1/MP2 has different dialog windows with its product name.
