  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP2 (builds 6.0.2.614, 6.0.2.621)

  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers MP3 (version 6.0.3.830)
  • If a proxy-server is used by either your provider or in your LAN, then when activating:

    • trial version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0
    • commercial version via the activation code of Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0

    The following problem may arise:

    • Once the log-in and the password are entered on a proxy server, the authorization window is displayed again. The authorization window can be only closed, but the product fails to be activated.

The fact is, when activating Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0, the application fails to connect to the proxy-server as the corresponding settings have not been configured in the authorization window. Thus if the log-in and password are entered correctly, these data do not get on the proxy-server and Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0 continues requiring for the log-in and password unlimited times.

To rectify the problem, do the following:

    • In the Proxy-server: authorization window click Cancel
    • In the Setup Wizard window click the LAN settings button
    • Enable the Use proxy-server option
    • Enable the Proxy requires authorization option
    • Click the Specify user name and password option, enter the login and password if you do not want to enter it during the activation process
    • Click Next
    • Wait till the Proxy-server: authorization window is displayed
    • Enter the login and password
    • Click Ok
    • Wait till the activation process is over
    • Make sure the application was successfully activated
    • Click Finish

InformationIn the example the Proxy requires authorization option is enabled. If the Specify user name and password option is enabled and the login/password has been specified, then the step to enter login\password will be skipped in the activation process.

InformationThe dialog windows of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP1 and Kaspersky Internet Secuirty6.0 MP1 are the same but with corresponding product names.
